APOEL Perestroika has made a change for the assistant coaching position since Banys had to leave APOEL for personal reasons.
“APOEL Perestroika announces the signing of coach Phivos Costis. Mr. Kostis replaces coach Banys as assistant coach of the men’s team and as head coach of the U18 team. The Lithuanian coach left the team for personal – family reasons.
Bio:
Coach Kostis is a graduate and holds a Master of Sports Administration from Xavier University, Ohio USA. In Greece, he is a graduate of the Athens University of Physical Education with specialization in Basketball.
He has played professional basketball from 1999-2012 in Greece.
As an assistant coach he has worked for Ionikos Nikaia (A1), AS Karditsa, Diagoras Dryopideon, Korivos Amaliada, Paneleusiniakos, Pagrati, Lycoming College and Xavier University (Graduate Assistant).
He has worked as head coach in KAO Gerakas (B’ESKA), U18 Cholargos, U15 A.S. Papagos, U12 Sabonis B.C Kaunas, Lithuania.
