The “Neofytos Chandriotis” Basketball Tournament will be held from September 14-16, 2024, featuring the illustrious presence of Panathinaikos BC.
The European and Greek champions, Panathinaikos AKTOR, will be gracing Cyprus, where their thousands of fans eagerly await the chance to see their idols up close for the first time in years. This comes just a few months after the team’s triumphant return to the pinnacle of European basketball.
Thanks to the concerted efforts of the organizers, Ergin Ataman’s squad will be in Cyprus, fulfilling the strong desire of thousands of Panathinaikos supporters on the island. The news of Panathinaikos AKTOR’s participation has already sparked widespread excitement, not only among the team’s fans but also among all basketball enthusiasts in Cyprus. The presence of last season’s top team, now further bolstered by a few strategic roster additions, promises to elevate the tournament’s quality even more.
This year’s tournament lineup is completed by two other high-caliber teams: the revitalized Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, returning to Cyprus once again, and Bayern Munich, making their first appearance in the country.
